This is Ayanna. I met Ayanna and her parents when hired to do a shoot for American Baby Magazine when her Mom entered her Dad into a “Best Dad” contest and won.
Her story is of brave parents and a strong little girl! Ayanna is a liver transplant survivor! She is absolutely beautiful but more importantly, she is alive today because a 22 year old young man chose to be an organ donor. If you are not an organ donor, please consider that Ayanna and children like her can live a long and happy life if for some reason yours is cut short.
It was a pleasure to meet this family and an honor to photograph them.

MB was a fantastic model. She is a natural once you calm her down

I took my youngest, Ethan to Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens today. Hanging low in bush was this cool frog in a hammock.

He turns 17 this week. I wonder where the time goes?
As I look at him and I wonder what his plan is, what his ambitions are and hope that we did a good job in teaching him what he needs to know to become a responsible and productive adult.
I don’t care what he does, how much money he makes or what prestige comes with his job. I just hope he does what he loves so that he will never work a day in his life.

She lost her tooth the day before the photo session, which made her even more adorable (if that is possible). She toyed with me through the entire session. Eyes on me, then rolling, then looking to the side and then back to me. She wanted to see if I could catch her at the right moment. We had fun!!

She very much wanted photos that were “really” her style. Real smiles and all! She was nervous about the session, but as you see she really shines!

Another one of Blackie! He was very well behaved but a little weary of the camera! He didn’t like the clicking sound of the shutter or the glare from the lens. If I put the camera down, he would come over to say hello but while I had the camera up he kept his distance.

I took my Aussie Zack to the Dog Park Sunday. We met Blackie! A one year old Great Dane who loves to run and play. (like a horse) He was beautiful.

This is the first Eclipse I have tried to capture. Many of my shots didnt come out clear. Then, I figure out that long exposures wouldn’t work because both the sun and the moon were moving, coupled with the earths rotation, it gave me many shots that looked as thought they were a blury fire ball moving across the sky.
